The Great Flood

So, in June 2007, we had a little situation at the townhouse where I live. We had some issues with a pipe that ended up causing a major amount of water to back up through the drain in the utility room. Needless to say, it flooded the basement hallway, most of my room, and part of my roommates room. It took about a month to get it all cleaned up. Well, IT HAPPENED AGAIN TONIGHT!!! I'm am so angry! When you walk out to take your clothes out of the dryer and step in 3 inches of water, it tends to make a girl a little upset. My landlord is going to "get on it asap" but that was at 10:00 on Friday night. My guess: Tuesday at the earliest. In the meantime, we can't use a lot of water (take a shower, wash clothes, do dishes, etc). It's going to turn out to be a stinky weekend at this house with no showers......

My cutest niece and nephew

I LOVE these two so much. They tell me the funniest things.

Jesse is VERY into Spiderman and he can tell you anything you want/need or don't want/need to know about him. Sometimes he insists that you call him Peter Parker. He's so funny. He also knows the proper name of ANY tractor or piece of machinery. He gets very upset when you call something by the wrong name. He got a trackhoe for Christmas and some of the extended family made the mistake of calling it a digger (which is what he called every tractor before he learned the proper names).

Halle will substitute the letter "H" for anything she can't say. She says things like: "I'm not done hawkin (talking)" or "Bye, hee ya wator (see ya later)" She cuts me off in the middle of sentences on the phone with the "Bye, hee ya wator" bit. She loves to read and can read some Dr. Seuss and Berenstain Bears books all by herself. I don't think it's so much the reading as it is she has them memorized. It's still impressive for a 2 and a half year old.

Here are some recent pictures of the little monkeys.

Spring?

The last 2 days have been in the 80's when I leave work. Does that mean it's finally spring in Salt Lake City? I don't dare get my hopes up too high!
