An even worse day....

....for Avery Johnson. Mark Cuban fired him less than 24 hours after losing to the Hornets in the first round of the playoffs. Hopefully, Johnson won't try a career in broadcasting. His voice is too annoying to listen to!

Not a good day....

...to be a Mavericks fan. Mark Cuban will have to go home and cry with Avery Johnson. Sorry Kim, but they didn't even show up for 2 + games. Not a good playoff run. Sad day for Kim and her homies.

Meanwhile, Chris Paul is tearing it up in New Orleans. Go Hornets!

Jaxon & Brooklyn's baptism

Today, I had the priveledge of attending a baptism for two of my favorite people. It amazes me on a daily basis how excited kids get about the littlest things. Jaxon got a football shaped CTR tie tack and you would have thought someone gave him an autographed Reggie Bush football. Brooklyn was most excited with a scripture bag that her cousin had made for her out of a placemat. They both received bath towels with their names embroidered in them along with the date. Jaxon was so excited that the writing was cursive. I love these kids so much and appreciate the Wood family adopting me as a part-time daughter.

You can see the smile on Jaxon's face over the cursive writing

Will it ever be spring?

So those of you living in Utah will understand this. Why does the weather warm up so nicely that you bust out your capris and sandals and then the next day it's snowing? I'm starting to wonder if we will ever have spring or if it will be winter, maybe summer, and then fall again. I gotta tell ya, I'm not thrilled with Mother Nature this month!

Tea & Crumpets initiation

So yesterday, in honor of "The Bachelor", Kim and I held our first ever "tea & crumpets" party. Kim bought some low-calorie-no-carb-sugar-free-nasty-as-all-hell apple stuff and donut holes. We ate donut holes until we were sick but there wasn't so much drinking of the "tea". I knew there was a reason I never liked tea and last night only confirmed my suspicions. Who attended our party? That would be Alisca and Kim, the only people worthy of the first taste of "tea & crumpets". We may add more folks later, but only if they don't know the secret of the "tea". The look on their faces will be worth it!
